Anxiety, Stress & Depression
Most people have experienced some form of anxiety, stress and depression at some point; indeed, many clients come to me because they are struggling with one or all of them. As these phenomena are interrelated, it's not surprising if you're experiencing two or more of them simultaneously. I work to help you understand the roots of these difficult emotions for you and identify treatment options and techniques to manage your symptoms.
Children & Adolescents
Working with children requires rigorous training and specialized skills. After a graduate degree in child development, my postgraduate fellowship in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center focused on diagnostic and therapeutic services for children, adolescents and families. My years of research and work with children inform my patient and playful approach to supporting this unique population.
BRCA & Hereditary Cancer
Different genetic mutations can cause predispositions to cancer; the most well-known are BRCA1 and BRCA2. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients with these predispositions and I feel a lifetime commitment to the BRCA community. I am a passionate supporter of those navigating the uncertainties and unique stressors of genetic testing, family planning, surveillance and surgery—and of navigating the relationships that these impact.
Parenthood: Pre- & Perinatal
There are many stresses related to parenting. Life as a new parent can be isolating and challenging; as can the stress, ambivalence or depression of impending parenthood. I have over seven years of experience working with parents and various family structures, in addition to deep graduate and postgraduate training in evidence-based practices focused on parenting and children. So whether you are planning, pregnant or postpartum, I am prepared to help.
